Delicious charcoal-grilled steaks and large hamburgers
Founded in Toyooka, Hyogo in 1984, and three years late a location opened up in Fukuchiyama as well. Woody serves authentic charcoal-grilled steak and Wagyu hamburgers cooked with bincho charcoal. Woody is a restaurant with customers that have come since they were little. Starting out the children’s meal which includes a little sparkler, then graduating to the Woody-burg, then the steak and hamburg combo Roth-burg, and finally when they are grown and looking for the most filling meal, there is the Gulli-burg, with 420g worth of steak and hamburg. Woody serves all their meat dishes on a hot iron plate, with meat that has it’s juices sealed inside for flavor. The restaurant also features a variety of handmade sauces such as onion, garlic, and ginger, along with soups and curry.

I am experienced in French cuisine and worked as a chef in Osaka before getting married and moving here. I am happy that my wife (from Fukuchiyama) also loves working at the restaurant. I’m mainly in charge of grilling here so feel free to request your food cooked the way you prefer. Medium, well-done, rarer dishes that seal in the natural juices, I can handle it all. The skill of grilling perfect meat is about judging the degree of “doneness” based on the customer’s request. Don’t hesitate to let us know how you want your meat grilled.
