A sense of luxury surrounded by nature
Reception Garden is located on Kumihama Bay, which is separated from the Sea of Japan by a narrow sandbar. The town of Kumihama is also right on the border of Kyoto and Hyogo Prefecture. Nearby is Mt. Kabuto, which is a symbol of Kumihama, and this restaurant’s hotel called Holiday Home is right at the foot of the mountain. The concept of the hotel is based around creating a place where you can live and stay, as the atmosphere is relaxed and set within a lush environment. Reception Garden is the hotel’s restaurant and dining area, but it is also open to the general public and offers dishes that focus on the region: sea, mountains, and villages of the Tango area. The walls of the restaurant are all glass windows, allowing people to feel as though they are immersed in nature. Reception Garden sees a lot of repeat visitors and regulars who come for the fresh local food and to dine amidst the changing seasons.
On this property is a hotel, restaurant, and a shop (Bshop) that sells functional and well-designed apparel and other various products from both overseas and Japan. It is a place where we would like people to relax and spend some time. The surrounding area is a natural paradise: you can climb Mt. Kabuto or take a walk along the bay. If you come by car, you should check out the scenery at Shotenkyo (a sandbard separating Kumihama Bay and the Sea of Japan). The restaurant also functions as a casual café, so please feel free to stop by.
