A restaurant that communicates the charm of Tango and is connected to the production of local foods

The first thing that visitors will notice about "Tango Kingdom" is that this expansive park-like area resembes a small European village. There is a market where vegetables and dairy products arrive from the producer every morning, sausages and beer workshops carefully crafted by artisans. With lots of shops serving local gourmet food, and the winter recommended food court "Shichi Hime" (seven princesses), Tango Kingdom is a great location for families. At Shichihime, which operates as a "crab hut" only in winter, you can enjoy grilled crab and crab nabe pots around a stove. High-quality special brand name crabs such as Taiza and Tsuiyama can be cooked to order, from sashimi, to grilled, and hot pot. There is also a grilled seafood menu with turban shells, squid, and scallops so you can fully experience the taste of winter. The restaurant also serves some rare local delicacies like barazushi (a lasagna-esque layered rice dish), as well as food cooked in traditional stone ovens or iron pots.

I am from the town of Mineyama right next door to Tango Kingdom. I have been working in the kitchen for over 20 years, since the opening of "Tango Ajiwai no Sato", the predecessor of "Tango Kingdom". Through working here, I have met many skilled artisans and studied lots of different cuisine. My first new encounter was the stone kiln pizza. We try to make pizza that is compatible with our own specialty craft beer using delicious local ingredients. Also, try homemade sausages and chicken steaks baked in a stone kiln, they are delicious!
