Local ingredients and over 150 menu items

An izakaya operated by a group that has restaurants and inns in Kyotango and Miyazu with the theme of local production for local consumption. They purchase high quality foods such as fish from nearby Amino and Kotobiki beach, high-quality Koshihikari rice from Kyotamba and Mineyama (where the restaurant is located), and vegetables from local farmers as close as possible. Not only is fresh fish served, but also creative cuisine such as carpaccio using flatfish and sea bream, as well as spicy seafood dishes. In addition, local customers also like the of Japanese black beef and black pork dishes, pasta and rice bowls, all found in one almighty menus. Plus, the dressings and sauces are carefully made by hand, and come highly recommended. Recently, the Amanojaku has been focusing on developing products to be sold at exhibitions and stores nationwide. This restaurant plays an important role in spreading the word about Kyotango. There is also select local sake from Tango that matches the dishes.

After graduating from school, I worked at a restaurant in Kyoto and returned, here, to my hometown 14 years ago. At this restaurant, each chef gets a chance to create an original menus that changes monthly. It’s a great opportunity to show your own cooking style and creativity. My specialty is cooking seafood. Since I was born and raised near the sea, using fresh fish comes almost naturally to me! We have many other things besides sashimi, such as carpaccio, grilled and salted fish, and pasta dishes like Vongole Bianco!
