A Casual Bar with Good Food

Dorauma opened in October 2019 on the main street near Higashi-Maizuru Station, making it easy to stop by for a drink and a bite to eat. Since it opened, it has attracted a lot of people who frequent the restaurant regularly. As far as the food, since the word “Dorauma” is associated with “deep deliciousness,” the chef recommends the gyoza (grilled dumplings), who happens to love gyoza himself. Made without garlic or leeks, the gyoza here is plump and still full of flavor thanks to the cabbage, pork, and ginger. The nabe hot pots are another mainstay of the restaurant, and there are options for one-person portions as well. The hot pots are filling and many are based on the Hokkaido and Taiwanese style “motsunabe,” which include vegetables and offal.

from the chef:

I'm from Hyogo prefecture but started my career in Maizuru. I was involved with the "Malt Bono" affiliated restaurants from the start, and worked as an Italian cook for 10 years. We opened "Dorauma" to create a restaurant that makes favorites like gyoza and the locally popular innards dishes, using gourmet ingredients from Maizuru. I personally like izakayas. We try to serve delicious food like gyoza to match the alcohol selection. Please feel free to drop by.
